Our ambition is clear: to build a sustainable future by balancing the protection of people, respect for the environment and our commitment to our employees and partners.

Our social and environmental commitment

BETTER PROTECTION, WORKING TOGETHER, SUSTAINABLE PROGRESS

At Medicom, we place a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of our development strategy.

Our work is based on three pillars: Community, Climate and Ethical Trade,

with the aim of combining industrial performance, reducing our environmental footprint and continuously improving the quality of life at work.

Our approach is guided by a commitment to building a sustainable future by balancing
the protection of people, respect for the environment and our commitment to
our employees and partners.

COMMUNITY

To ensure optimal working conditions
and develop social initiatives.

CLIMATE

Reducing the carbon footprint through more environmentally friendly industrial processes.

ETHICAL TRADE

Ensuring a responsible and transparent
supply chain.

OUR COMMITMENT TO
THE COMMUNITY

At Medicom, people are at the heart of our CSR approach.

We are actively committed to promoting equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion by creating a respectful, safe and inclusive working environment.

Inclusion, diversity and recruitment policy

  • Training and integration of young people: taking on work-study students and interns, some of whom are on integration programmes, and successfully integrating them into our teams.
  • Inclusion of people with disabilities: employing staff recognised as disabled workers and working with sheltered workshops to promote equality.
  • Employment support partnerships: working with organisations such as ASAR and ERGOS to create job opportunities and support professional integration.
  • Global social commitment: these initiatives reflect Medicom’s commitment to promoting inclusion and human development beyond its legal obligations.

Development and evolution of employees

  • Continuous professional development and skills enhancement: an internal programme covering products, CSR, cybersecurity, quality, compliance and safety, including Lean/5S initiatives and internal certifications.
  • Career progression: supporting operators as they take on new responsibilities through training programmes for Machine Setters and Production Unit Leaders (100% pass rate for CQP qualifications).
  • Ethics and professional integrity: a strict anti-corruption policy, a shared code of conduct, and a confidential reporting mechanism to ensure compliance.
  • Talent development: a concrete commitment to developing skills and promoting internal career progression for employees.

Working conditions and safety

  • Participatory workplace well-being: rolling out the Peakon tool to measure engagement and continuously adapt working conditions.
  • Health and safety: workplace improvements, awareness-raising through Safety Day and 5S workshops, resulting in a 40% reduction in accidents and a 65% reduction in the severity rate.
  • Well-being and team spirit: group initiatives, workplace wellbeing events, sports activities and remote working to promote a healthy work-life balance and team cohesion.
  • Gender equality in the workplace for 2025: publication of the gender equality index (93 out of 100). Measures are being implemented within the company to achieve gender parity and ensure fairness in career progression.

Solidarity and patronage

  • Partnership with the League Against Cancer: For the past five years, Medicom has been supporting cancer prevention, patient support and research, particularly through Pink October.
  • Internal awareness-raising: workshops on risk factors and the prevention of cancer (breast, cervical and colorectal) for staff.
  • Blood donation drive: organisation of campaigns in partnership with the French Blood Establishment (EFS) in 2023 and 2024, with strong participation from staff.
  • Concrete social commitment: these initiatives reflect Medicom’s values of mutual support, public health and responsibility.

OUR COMMITMENT TO
THE CLIMATE

As part of its CSR policy, Medicom is committed to reducing its GHG emissions by 25% by 2030, in line with the commitments of the Paris Agreement.

We are currently rolling out an emissions reduction plan with annual monitoring and are exploring further measures (responsible and local procurement, reducing plastic packaging, and assessing recycling options for nitrile gloves). We are focusing on four key initiatives to demonstrate our commitment to climate action:

ECO-DESIGN OF PRODUCTS
REDUCTION IN ENERGY CONSUMPTION
INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES WITH LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
INNOVATION AND RESEARCH

Some of our achievements in support of our commitment to climate action

TRANSFORMING OUR PRODUCT RANGE THROUGH ECO-DESIGN

More sustainable materials, reduced weight and a life-cycle assessment of our best-selling products (nitrile masks and gloves).

ENERGY OPTIMISATION OF OUR INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES

Roll-out of low-emission burners and energy management systems, alongside an internal energy efficiency campaign at our production sites.

AT OUR MANIKHEIR NITRILE GLOVE MANUFACTURING SITE

Manufactured without chlorine or vulcanisation accelerators, thereby reducing risks to health and the environment; recycling and closed-loop water treatment via an integrated treatment plant.

INCREASED INVESTMENT IN R&D;

Developing sustainable solutions for the end-of-life stage of our products (e.g. recyclability, biodegradability).

OUR COMMITMENT TO ETHICAL TRADE

We ensure that all our business relationships are built on ethical, sustainable and responsible foundations. We require our partners and suppliers to strictly adhere to the fundamental principles set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

We reject forced labour and child labour, and ensure that workers’ rights are respected in a safe, equitable and non-discriminatory environment. We require our partners to make the same commitments through our supplier qualification process (risk analysis, code of conduct, audits and general terms and conditions).

Through our Global Anti-Corruption Policy, we are committed to conducting our business with ethics, integrity and in compliance with applicable laws. We prohibit any payment or benefit, whether direct or indirect, intended to secure or retain a contract or an unfair advantage.
Any form of corruption, whether active or passive, is strictly prohibited.

Medicom encourages all its employees to report any potential breach of our Global Anti-Corruption Policy or any conduct that is contrary to our ethical standards and/or values. Reports can be made via the following email address: conformité@medicom.com. All reports will ultimately be reviewed by our Ethics Committee. Any act of retaliation, harassment or pressure against an employee who raises such a concern is prohibited and will result in immediate disciplinary action.
