Job description
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
for the mining industry
Workers’ safety in mines depends on the use of suitable personal protective equipment: these activities require specific solutions to ensure the health and safety of staff.
We offer a range of disposable clothing specifically designed to meet safety requirements in the mining industry.

What are the main risks associated with mining?
Mining activities present unique challenges in terms of safety and risk prevention. The production of ores requires a series of physical and chemical processes. These can occur at any stage, from the excavation of ore containing the metal in its mineral form through to the processing of the metal. These processes expose workers to various risks: chemical splashes, dust, and high-temperature or high-pressure environments.
| During the extraction, processing and transport of ores, fine dust, such as crystalline silica, and chemicals (acids, solvents, cyanide) are released. These substances can cause serious respiratory diseases, chemical burns and poisoning. | The use of heavy machinery (excavators, backhoe loaders) and the handling of heavy loads increase the risk of physical injury, whilst uneven ground and underground environments pose risks of falls, slips and accidents, just as in other high-risk construction site environments. | The presence of flammable gases such as methane in underground mines can cause explosions, whilst chemicals and slurry can lead to dangerous splashes and harmful contact. | Extreme working conditions, particularly intense heat and humidity, expose workers to the risks of heat stress, exhaustion and dehydration, especially when working above ground. |
Respiratory protective masks
Respiratory protective masks are essential for filtering out dust and fine particles to protect the respiratory tract. They are particularly important when dealing with chemical splashes or dust, and in high-temperature or high-pressure environments where harmful fibres or dust may be released. They therefore ensure better air quality and safeguard workers’ health.

SafeMask® Fit+Pro FFP2 NR mask with valve
The FFP2 valve mask (EN 149) is recommended on construction sites in environments with moderate levels of dust and particles, such as when sanding, cutting or handling materials.
It offers a good level of filtration whilst ensuring improved breathing comfort thanks to the valve, making it particularly suitable for prolonged wear and physical exertion.

SafeMask® Fit+Pro FFP3 NR mask with valve
The FFP3 valve mask (EN 149) is intended for use in situations involving higher risks, particularly where very fine particles or hazardous substances (such as asbestos or toxic dust) are present.
It provides superior filtration and enhanced protection for operators, whilst maintaining a high level of comfort thanks to the valve, which is essential during intensive use in demanding conditions.
Coveralls: comprehensive PPE for the mining industry
Coveralls are an essential item of PPE (personal protective equipment) in the mining industry, offering comprehensive protection against the chemical, physical and climatic hazards associated with this working environment. They protect the whole body, ensuring safety, comfort and freedom of movement for workers in demanding environments.
