ManiKHeir

France's first production plant for single-use nitrile gloves, located in Bessé-sur-Braye in the Sarthe region.

A major step forward for French industry

The creation of ManiKHeir marks the return of an industry that disappeared in France 30 years ago. The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 showed just how dependent Europe was on imports of nitrile gloves. So we decided to produce locally to safeguard our healthcare system and essential industries.

Located on the site of the former Arjowiggins factory, ManiKHeir is France's first single-use nitrile glove factory. The project, carried out with GSE, required an investment of more than €88 million to renovate and enhance this industrial site. Today, with its 17,521 m² and 4 ultra-modern production lines, we have the capacity to produce 900 million gloves a year. Since June 2022, more than 150 people have joined our team to make this project a success.

Innovation and sustainable development

Innovation plays an important role in this project, particularly in terms of sustainable development. With our integrated R&D laboratory, we make it a point of honour to guarantee the quality of our products, the performance of our teams and our commitment to our customers and partners.

A strong environmental commitment

In line with the principles of ISO 26000, we are committed to an environmentally responsible approach. We produce nitrile gloves without chlorine or accelerating agents (harmful to the environment and health). Our gloves are made from recyclable nitrile rubber (NBR), a less allergenic and more environmentally friendly alternative to latex.

What's more, an integrated water treatment centre reduces our water consumption and minimises the risk of pollution. An integrated water treatment centre enables us to reduce our water consumption and minimise the risks of pollution. We also recycle industrial waste and are working on a process for recovering used finished products from users.

Our vision

With our ManiKHeir factory, we are committed to providing high-quality, French-made, environmentally-friendly nitrile gloves that meet the growing needs of the European market for personal protective equipment.

We are proud to play our part in strengthening France's health and industrial sovereignty, while upholding our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
